STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The events of Group Song (Indian) and Folk Instrumental (Solo) were conducted here on Tuesday during ongoing Display Your Talent-2019 organised by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. Dean Students Welfare, Prof Jasbir Singh along with Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee; Prof Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee; Dr Anil Gupta, Dr Garima Gupta (Assistant Deans SW) judges and members of Campus Cultural Committee felicitated the winners. In Group Song Indian competition, the team of GCW Parade stood first while the team of Institute of Music & Fine Arts stood second. The third position was shared by teams of GDC R S Pura and GDC Samba. Tejinder Gill, Kuljit Singh and Dharmesh Nargotra were the judges and Dr Shallu Sehgal was the Teacher Incharge of the event. In folk Instrumental Solo, the first prize was withheld by the jury while the second and third positions were secured by Dharampal from GDC Billawar and Sunil Padha from GDC Jindrah respectively. The event was coordinated by Mansi Mantoo Media Officer, Ifra Kak Cultural Officer and Sumeet Sharma Drama Instructor. Vaishali, Sonia, Mehul, Sahil, Shaharaza, Alisha, Vrinda and Anup looked after the Hall Management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur and Arif Paul. On Wednesday, the event of Light Vocal (Solo) will be conducted at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium from 10:00 AM onwards.
