JAMMU: A joint deputation of displaced persons of 1947, 1965, 1971 led by MLC Vikram Randhawa and Senior BJP leader Amrik Singh, Advocate, met Provincial Rehabilitation Officer (PRO), Jammu, Mushtaq Amed Malik and discussed the problems being faced by the displaced persons.
The deputation apprised PRO Jammu that many compensation files which have been submitted to PRO Office but only few ones are approved.
The deputation apprised “Many refugees who had been allotted land on form ‘A’ but had not got possession after allotment, how they can submit the Virasat mutation if he or his father had never occupied their allotted land.”
The deputation also brought to the notice of PRO Jammu that there are many agents moving in the PRO office for minting money to get the files of compensation cases approved but not serial wise.
The PRO gave patient hearing to the deputation and said that he will issue a circular regarding the entry of agents in the PRO office. He said that the concerned Tehsildars had been authorised to issue legal heirs certificate which were issued by the Court in the past who are not in the possession of land.
The deputation comprised of Mohinder Singh Chief Organiser Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Scoeity J and K, Paramjit Singh President AISSF, Kulwant Chief Advocate Sikh Naujwan Sabha, Amarjit Singh, Sukhjinder Singh, Surjit Singh, J.S Ajit, Mohinder Singh and Joginder Singh.
