JAMMU: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) urged upon the government to expose politicians who have managed huge loan from J&K Bank.
Scores of Youth Congress activists staged protest against the Punjab National Bank (PNB) for Rs 21,306 crore scam seeking reply of BJP leadership on this biggest ever bank scam and alleged that top BJP leadership is involved in the scandal. They also demanded that lists of defaulters of J&K Bank should also be made public.
Hundreds of Youth Congress activists holding banners, placards in their hands assembled in front of Press Club Jammu and started march towards PNB Branch near Secretariat. The heavy contingent of police force intercepted the protesters and they were court arrested.
Addressing party activists, Secretary IYC Sheeshpal Singh attacked BJP led NDA Government over the multi-crore PNB scam involving Nirav Modi and questioned the silence of BJP leaders on this issue and demanded an explanation on the fraud from the NDA Government at the Centre. He stated that the scam of such intensity could not have taken place without the highest level protection by the authorities. He said that first Lalit Modi, then Vijay Malaiya and now Nirav Modi.
Singh said majority of the defaulters in J&K Bank are politicians and it is high time to expose the defaulters so that common masses would know who these politicians, who claimed them as honest, are pocketing peoples’ money.
