JAMMU: Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in collaboration with Anant Kala Kendra Jammu organised summer Music Camp from June 1 to 12, 2018, which concluded, here on Wednesday.
Deputy Director Information, (PR), Atul Gupta was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Deputy Director (HQ), Priyanka Bhat was the Guest of honour.
In all, 45 students of different schools participated in the camp.
The Chief Guest said that such camps help the children to explore their creativity besides learning about our rich and varied culture through classical dance forms like kathak alongwith improvement in learning skills, social skills and confidence to face the challenges of present day society.
He appreciated the initiative of Cultural Officer/AD Information Shabnam Jaipuria and her team for organizing this event.
Students presented Kathak performance, Dogri dance and songs besides other cultural programmes highlighting rich culture and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir in the culmination function.Field Publicity Officer, Priya Lakshmi, Director Anant Kala Kendra, Narinder Bhardwaj, Assistant Director Anju Radha, Vocalist, Ramesh Kalotra, Tabla performer, Amit Anand besides students and parents were present on the occasion.
