GANDERBAL: Deputy Inspector General of Police CKR, V.K Birdi on Monday visited Kheer Bhawani Temple and Baltal Base Camp to review the security arrangements for the forth coming Mela Kheer Bhawani.
On his visit, the DIG was briefed by SSP Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone about the security measures being taken during the Mela. He informed the DIG that police and paramilitary forces will be deployed as ROP, escorts and frisking, etc. for the safety and security of devotees. Besides, Traffic Police will be deployed on the routes connecting the Holy Shrine for smooth traffic regulation.
