JAMMU: Shree Krishna Janamashtami was celebrated by the J&K Dharmarth Trust with religious fervour and gaiety. In this connection all the temples managed by the trust were tastefully decorated and beautifully illuminated throughout the city.
In the evening, a function was organised in the historic Raghunath Temple in the heart of the city Jammu, which lasted up to the midnight the birth time of Lord Krishna. Pooja was also performed there by the Trustee Ajatshatru Singh in which the Secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust Ajay Singh Jamwal, Additional Secretary Dr Sat Pal, Administrator Raghunath Temple Darshan Sharma including the office bearers and the staff of the trust and a large number of devotees participated. In the midnight the participants paid obeisance to the Lord and sought his blessings.
Earlier in the day, a grand Shobha Yatra was also taken out in which different Jhankis about the life of Lord Krishna were displayed.
