STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: Director General of Police J&K, Dilbag Singh on Thursday reviewed security scenario during his visit to frontier valley of Gurez. Accompanied by IGP Kashmir, S P Pani, the DGP interacted with top army officers and had interaction with jurisdictional police officers and Jawans. Brig Suresh Kumar briefed the DGP about various measures taken on the border to check infiltration and other necessary measures regarding disaster management. Dilbag Singh also inspected Police Station Dawar and barracks of Jawans. He interacted with SHO and took stock of crime-rate of the area. During the meeting, Jawans highlighted their grievances regarding various welfare measures. The DGP assured that their demands with regard to repair of barracks and other welfare measures will be looked into sympathetically. He also appreciated the police personnel for serving in the most tough weather conditions as also in view of sensitiveness of the area. He directed them to focus on their duties, health and families. The DGP also announced a Bara-khana for police personnel posted in the different Police Stations and posts in Gurez. The interaction was attended by the officials of Police Station Dawar, Tulail, Police Post Izmerg and Budaab.
