STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Ridiculing the Government’s action to deny entry of national leaders of various opposition parties of the country, in the state who have come to access the ground-level situation in J&K and to meet mainstream political leaders and common people after tall claims of the Government that normalcy has returned to J&K, former Minister and senior leader National Conference, Ajay Sadhotra termed it as unconstitutional and undemocratic. National Conference leader said that on one hand the State Government is claiming normalcy in J&K, on the other hand, Government has denied entry of opposition leaders of country in J&K, thereby contradicting its repeated claims over the situation. “Opposition party leaders have come to J&K to access the ground level situation besides meeting political leaders and people. Every time, whenever there was problem in any part of the country, the delegation of opposition parties leaders visited the troubled part. Even delegation of opposition parties has visited J&K in 1990, 2010, 2016 but it is very unfortunate that that the Government has not allowed opposition parties leaders to enter into J&K,” he added. Sadhotra appealed to the Government to immediately release National Conference top leaders including Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, former Chief Ministers and other mainstream political leaders to prove that the tall claims of Government regarding normalcy are true.
