JAMMU: In its endeavour to ensure overall development of students through physical, co-curricular, literary and academic activities, JK Public School Panjtirthi conducts debate, declamation, quiz, symposium, elocution, storytelling, recitation, races, swimming and newspaper reading activities on Saturdays.
On second Saturdays of the every month, the school conducts swimming and a visit to some significant place. Both the activities are accomplished simultaneously by dividing pupils in two groups.
Organizing physical, cultural, academic and festival related activities on Saturdays is a part of JKPS Panjtirthi’s annual calendar of activities. Through such initiatives, the school provides ample space to its students to become confident, brilliant and meaningful citizens besides bringing phenomenal changes in them to face the world boldly and with spontaneity. JKPS Panjtirthi also ensures special emphasis on English Conversation, Computer and G.K.
Counseling and not the punishment is the trait of teachers of JKPS. They believe that counseling encourages pupils and punishment proves detrimental.
Generating interest among JKPS students regarding newspaper reading is also one of the peculiar characteristics of this institution which forms the basis of enlightened students and ensures the much needed difference in the life JKIANS. For JKPS Panjtirthi, motivation, encouragement and appreciation goes a long way. The best performers are always applauded here by the Principal Suman Banbah. She said that setting standards and executing activity based curriculum is greatly challenging. She informed that to give real service to society JKPS Panjtirthi always adds something to its curriculum which cannot be bought or measured monetarily.
