STATE TIMES NEWS RAMBAN: District Development Commis sioner, Nazim Zai Khan today chaired a meeting to review the progress on formulation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) under Mission Antyodaya Survey, in the district. ADDC, Nawab Din; ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu; CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; DPO, Sunil Bhutyal, besides BDC, Chairpersons, BDOs, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, ADs, Xens of PMGSY, PDD, REW, DFOs, ALC, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer and several other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting. The DDC directed the officers to upload the Gram Panchayat Development Plan for the works of their respective departments on ACTION SOFT application in coordination with concerned BDO, for the approval of the same. It was informed in the meeting that 77 schemes launched by Government of India would be implemented under GPDP by different departments to ensure socio-economic development of rural areas as well as uplift of weaker sections of society. Rural Development department was directed to organize training sessions for new or left out officers and officials for their capacity building. Officers were also directed to adhere to the guide lines issued by the government in this regard. He directed the officers to ensure proper documentation of land deeds, especially donated by the private person(s) for any kind of development work to avoid complicacy in future. The DDC urged the BDC chairpersons to educate the PRIs and general public about the GPDP to ensure successful execution of plan.
