STATE TIMES NEWS RAMBAN: District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, on Monday conducted a visit of far flung area of Bhimdassa village of Gundi Dharam to listen to the grievances of the public. Assistant Commissioner Development, Zaffar Ahmed Banday, XEN PHE Bashir Ahmed, BDO Gundi Daram, AEE PDD and other officers and officials attended the programme. DDC impressed upon Sarpanchs and Panchs to aware and motivate people for availing benefit under various welfare schemes of different departments. He informed that the administration is focusing to complete road projects to provide better road connectivity to far-flung areas. Earlier, people of the area apprised the DDC of various demands and problems being faced by them which included shortage of medical staff in health centres, irregularity in old age pensions, blacktopping of roads, land compensation, employment for local youth in ongoing mega projects, PMAY, Sheep centre, shortage of electric poles.
