State Times News RAJOURI: To inspect the quality of health services and check the attendance of the medical and paramedical staff, District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to District Tuberculosis hospital and ISM Centre. The DDC inquired about the medicines, diagnostic and other facilities available in the hospital. While checking the attendance of the hospital staff, a junior pharmacist of ISM centre was placed under suspension by the DDC for unauthorized absence from duty. He also interacted with doctors and other staff members and asked them to be extra cautious about their duties, ensure better healthcare facilities to the patients and come up to their expectations. He enjoined upon the hospital administration to focus on quality assurance, accessible affordable health care so that satisfaction level among the users of Government health facilities is enhanced and people repose faith in public health. The DDC made it clear that no carelessness in connection with the duties shall be tolerated and strict action as per rules shall be initiated against the non performing and non-serious employees. He also asked them to maintain the duty roster strictly.
