STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana convened a meeting to review the progress of the implementation of Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the district. Among others, ADDC Kishtwar Mohd. Hanief Malik, CMO Kishtwar Dr. Rajinder Manhas, Medical Superintendent DH Kishtwar Dr. Parvez Iqbal Wani, Deputy CMO Kishtwar Dr. Yaqoob, BMO Paddar, Chatroo , Dachhan and Kishtwar besides concerned officers and officials of health department were present in the meeting. During the meeting, DDC Kishtwar took area-wise review with regard to the progress of the registration of beneficiaries and also heard the issues being faced by the CSC operators during the registration of the beneficiaries under the scheme. It was informed in the meeting that out of 60,000 beneficiaries 29,000 people have been covered wherein 152 people have been provided financial assistance and medical treatment under the scheme. DDC directed CMO Kishtwar to register each and every eligible beneficiary of households as well as left out family members under the scheme. He emphasized to give utmost concern for ensuring the benefits of scheme to rural poor patients and give wide publicity. He further stressed for giving wide dissemination and awareness at the villages, panchayat and Mohalla level besides holding meeting with PRI’s so that eligible beneficiaries are enrolled while ensuring 100 per cent registration of the deserving beneficiaries.
