State Times News KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Angrez Singh Rana on Wednesday inspected progress on mega developmental projects during an extensive tour of Kishtwar Township and suburbs. The DDC was accompanied by Principal GDC Kishtwar, DGM JKPCC, AEE JKPCC, Principal Girls Higher Sec. School and concerned engineers. He inspected the progress on upcoming Government Polytechnic College, Multi-purpose Indoor Sports hall at GHSS Kishtwar, 50 bedded SC Hostel at GDC Kishtwar, besides other works. It was informed that the work on three terrace academic block of upcoming of Government Polytechnic College is in full swing and the footing work of lower and middle terrace has been laid and the work of column structure is in progress. The Deputy General Manager, JKPCC, the executing agency, assured that the work of academic block would be completed by 2020 end. About the Multi-purpose Indoor Sports hall being constructed at GHSS Kishtwar, the DDC was informed that its project cost is Rs 3.82 crore and the work is on. Taking stock of pace of work on the 50 bedded SC Hostel at GDC Kishtwar, the DDC was briefed about the issues hampering the pace of work. The DDC directed the concerned officer to resolve all the bottlenecks and expedite the progress of work. He further directed the concerned executing agencies to maintain the quality of work and submit periodical report to him.
