STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: District Congress Committee (DCC) Udhampur after making unanimously opinion anticipated the name of Gulam Nabi Azad and Dr. Karan Singh candidates for upcoming election. According to hand out issued by DCC President KC Bhagat said Block President of district Udhampur preferably pointed the name of Gulam Nabi Azad and Dr. Karan Singh are suitable candidate for upcoming parliamentary from Udh-Doda-Kathua constituency. It was observed both candidates have very rich political experience and grip at gross root level. Block presidents Om Parkash-Majlata, Shri Raj-Udhampur, Rasal Singh-Panchari, Des Raj-Ghordi, Suram Chand-Jaganoo, Mushtaq Ahmed-Basant Garh, Neeraj Thapa-Chenani, Mohd Abbas-Latti, Raju-Ramnagar, Chuni Lal-Seuna, Vijay Kumar Barmeen-Chanunta, Manjeet Kumar-Narsoo, Govind Ram Khoon, Hans Raj Moungri supported the same. It is pertinent to mention here that three days back another faction of DCC organised a convention in Udhampur wherein Yuvraj Vikramditya was Chief Guest and addressed the worker’s convention. Party inside sources disclosed that name of young dynamic leader Yuvraj Vikramditya also under consideration of party high command as suitable congress candidate for Udh-Doda-Kathua constituency also. In Congress convention much of the Congress leaders were not present and on Friday another faction within Congress came up with a proposal to name Gulam Nabi Azad and Dr. Karan Singh preferably candidates for upcoming election which has again glared up ongoing split within DCC Udhampur.
