STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: In view of the lockdown in the country to contain the spread of coronavirus, District Administration Samba is ensuring to provide all the necessary help including supply of essential items like ration besides is also maintaining regular surveillance of all suspected patients. Deputy Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria reviewed the steps taken by Samba administration in order to contain the spread of coronavirus in the district. He was informed by the chief medical officer, Rajinder Samyal that regular surveillance in carried out in each medical block of samba district wherein persons have been kept under quarantine facilities at 9 designated places. It was further informed persons are shifted to home quarantine after completion of 14 days period and 28 days period respectively as advised by Medical officers. Medical teams of the district samba constituted to counter the spread of covid-19 informed that regular home surveys are been conducted wherein persons details like foreign visit, symptoms checking and feedback of home quarantine Persons is recorded. Block medical officer said that the teams has undertaken door to door surveys and teams visit houses twice a day. Deputy Commissioner Samba directed the concerned officers to follow the directions of govt and spread awareness regarding maintaining social distances. DC said that administration is providing masks, sanitiziers, ensuring supply of essential items besides keeping selected markets and shops opened for fixed times. He appealed to general public of samba to maintain personal social distancing and ensuring to keep collective efforts for defeating covid-19 spread.
