DODA: District Development Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh convened a meeting with prominent citizens, social activists, heads of political parties, business establishments, Bar Association, transport union, trade union and representatives of religious bodies on Thursday.
The meeting was held to discuss various issues being faced by the people and bring a coordination among the citizens on all such issues besides to ensure harmony in the district.
Discussions were held on various issues like traffic management in the city, black topping and maintenance of roads, solid waste management, removal of encroachment, creation of parking area, shortage of doctors and teachers, augmentation of water supply, promotion of tourism, check on overloading of commercial vehicles. DC assured that all the developmental issues would be addressed and all possible avenues would be explored to redress them at the earliest. He sought support and cooperation from all to maintain peace for further development of the district.
ADC Pawan Parihar, SSP Mohammad Shabir, ACR Tariq Hussain Naik, Dy SP (Hq) Iftikhar Ahmed besides other officers were also present in the meeting.
