STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan on Thursday directed Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) to submit a status report on an affidavit with regard to the recruitment of various non-gazetted posts in the Drugs and Food Control Organisation (D&FCO) within four weeks. The court order came in a Suo-Moto Public Interest Litigation on a news-item on food adulteration and rising cancer incidence in the Valley. Earlier, the DB observed that Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo had submitted a status report on April 15, 2019 disclosing the status of the sanctioned posts as well as the vacancy position and the steps taken for recruitment by the respondents. DB observed that the matter with regard to appointment of non-gazetted staff has been referred to SSRB and asked the aforesaid Board to submit a status report on an affidavit within four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
