SAMBA: The Child Welfare Committee(CWC), Samba established under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act ,2013 and Rules 2014 rescued four children who were employed in shops in the Bari Brahmana town. The members of CWC with the active assistance of concerned Police Department carried out checking of the shops and found four young children below 14 yrs of age working as child labour in sweet shop, tea stall and a shop in violation of The Child and Adolscent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act, 1986.
The children were rescued and sent to their homes. After rescuing the children Chief Education Officer Samba has been requested to provide admission to the children in the government school.
