KISHTWAR: Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd. (CVPP) celebrated its Eight Formation Day on Wednesday. The organisation was incorporated on this day in the year 2011 for execution of three Hydro Electric Projects namely PakalDul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) on Chenab River basin in District Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir. The Formation Day functions were organised at its Corporate Office Jammu, Project/Site offices, Kishtwar and Camp Office, Faridabad.
On this occasion, M.Y Khan, Chairman-CVPP and M.S Babu, MD-CVPP conveyed their best wishes to employees and their families and emphasised on the need for making well-co-ordinated efforts to take up the construction of the projects.
The programme was a combination of events by family members, dance group and orchestra team. A number of games for all members, especially for children were also organised.
Contribution of all the employees was appreciated with emphasis to work with dedication and high spirits to overcome the impediments in the way for timely achievement of the goals set for the company. Similar function was also organised at PakalDul, Kiru, Kwar HEPs at Chenab Nagar, Kishtwar followed by dinner cum Iftaar party. The function was attended by S.H Zargar, General Manager-PDHEP, Virender Raina, General Manager-Kwar HEP, Virender Salman, Chief Engineer I/c-Kiru HEP and Yogendra Kotha, Chief Engineer I/c-DulHasti Power Station. The function was graced by Angrez Singh Rana, DC Kishtwar, Abrar Chowdhary SSP, Kishtwar and other senior officers from State Government.
