JAMMU: The students of Cooperative Training Centre (CTC), Jammu, on Thursday visited The Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd (CCBL), Jammu, as part of their study programme.
The trainees led by Indu Magotra Vice-Principal, Centre for Cooperative Management, Jammu, participated in the practical training during their visit to the bank.
The Chairman of the Bank, Parveen Sharma apprised participants of the basic role of cooperatives in nation- building besides the role of bank. He highlighted the peculiar characteristic of the bank which caters basic banking needs of people besides utilisation of funds collected from depositors. He also expressed satisfaction that such qualified students are joining the cooperative training course which will help the cooperative movement to prosper in J and K State also like Gujarat and they are morally bound to take this cooperative movement to new heights.
Sumant Singh Jamwal, Director CCBL and Rajeev Dogra, Chief Manager and Sanjeev Kumar, Manager were also present.
