KATHUA: Session Judge Kathua M.A Chowdhary rejected the bail application of accused Sunny Malhotra in case Fir No. 138/2017 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 NDPS Act of Police Station Rajbagh investigated by Investigation officer SI Mohinder Singh of Police Station Rajbagh.
As per prosecution story, the accused on July 31, 2017 was found having in his possession 5.30 grams of smack (heroin) which is a intermediate quantity near High School Rajbagh in the fields. He was arrested and case FIR No. 138/17 was registered.
After hearing public prosecutor and defence counsel, the Court observed that keeping in view the gravity and nature of offence and that the menace of drug in young generation has assumed alarming dimension, the Court is of the opinion that the application is without any merit and is liable to be rejected.
