JAMMU: Sub-Registrar Jammu Swati Gupta on Thursday directed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu to take action as permissible under law in the case regarding killing of a person at former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s residence. The court passed this direction while considering the application filed by Imzad Hussain Shah, father of deceased Syed Murfad Hussian Shah, who had been shot dead at Farooq’s residence, seeking registration of First Information Report (FIR).
Applicant’s counsel Advocate Veenu Gupta submitted that on August 4, 2018, Syed Murfad Hussian Shah had gone to Bathindi in his vehicle ( JK02BW- 0568) for unknown reasons but the applicant only got the information regarding the death/encounter of his son in a firing incident at Farooq Abdullah’s residence in Bathindi, Jammu.
It was submitted that despite the death of the son of applicant, FIR has not been lodged on behalf of the applicant for ascertaining the reasons behind the alleged firing incident. Rather an FIR has been lodged on behalf of the CRPF personnel for the alleged trespassing into the highly security guarded VVIP residence.
It has been further submitted that the story created by the CRPF personnel regarding encounter of Murfad is not only illogical but also completely unbelievable.
“Despite repeated requests and the application to the SHO Trikuta Nagar and submission of its copy to DGP, Law and Order, JKP and also to SSP Jammu, no FIR has been lodged by the police to investigate the matter”, the applicant’s counsel submitted.
It was also submitted that the applicant has also approached the Police with evidences (Photograph) of the vehicle of the deceased clearly showing tampering with the vehicle which is the main evidence in the alleged commission of offence.
