STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: A couple was found dead under suspicious circumstances at their house on the outskirts of Jammu on Monday, police said. The bodies of deceased identified as Naveen Sharma, 55-year-old, caterer and his wife Poonam, were recovered from their house in Greater Jammu, officials said. While Sharma’s body was hanging from his room’s ceiling, Poonam was found lying dead, they said.
Naveen Sharma is Catering in-Charge in the Press Club of Jammu. Poonam was his second wife. Naveen’s one son, from his first marriage, is settled aboard while his another 12-year-old son from second marriage was at home at the time of suicide.
According to sources, Naveen’s 12-year son was sleeping in the other room unaware about the incident. He saw the dead bodies of his parents on Monday morning and later informed the relatives about the incident.
A team of forensic experts was called to examine the place and later the bodies were sent for post-mortem, the officials said.
A case has been registered and investigation is on, they added.
