STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: The entire district Rajouri on Tuesday observed a lockdown type of situation for second consecutive day with authorities kept in place strict restrictions on public movement, transportation and business establishments. Police said that on day two, only transportation of essential services was allowed with all other contents of normal life remained under curbs. Police said that all the roads and markets wore deserted type of looks. People from Rajouri are also extending it’s possible cooperation in the lockdown and except a very few violators, majority of the population of Rajouri is staying indoors thereby maintaining social distance in war against COVID19. Police also initiated action against violators of restriction orders. Police said that drivers of two tippers have been booked in Nowshera, owner of Sana Institute of Education Rekiban Darhal has been booked by Darhal police station, three shopkeepers running their business establishments in Siot market have been booked by Dharamsal police station. Police said that all accused were found violating restriction orders and were running their vehicles on roads or had open their institutions/business establishments despite after restrictions imposed by the District Magistrate Rajouri. Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Chandan Kohli said that COVID19 is a grave threat to human life and people from all walks of life have to fight war against it. “The cooperative attitude of people from Rajouri is highly appreciable and we appeal people to further play their constructive role in this crucial time.” said SSP. Don’t come out of your homes untill urgent, don’t rush for panic buying, maintain social distance and follow all other precautions, SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli further said.
