STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: Congress workers held a meeting in Samba on Tuesday, in which former MLA Prakash Sharma was present. Local problems were raised in the meeting and the political scenario of the state was also discussed. Former MLA Prakash Sharma demanded full statehood status to Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the Central government has made Jammu and Kashmir a full-fledged union territory, which will trouble people in the coming times. Raising the issue of rising unemployment in Samba district, former MLA Prakash Sharma said that till date the government has announced several recruitment rallies, but this has not been implemented, due to which the youth are feeling cheated. He said that the Industrial Growth Center was built in Samba to provide employment to the local people, but there are also people working in most of the outer states. Sharma said that the promise of giving jobs to 90 percent of the local people in the industries has not been made practical, due to which the youth is upset. He said that local people are being recruited through contractors in Industries. Due to which they are being exploited, so call this contracting practice. Those present on the occasion Org Secretary PCC of Congress Sanjeev Sharma, Block President Samba Varyam Choudhary, Block President Nud Dev Raj, Block President Samba Janak Raj, Kundan Lal Gupta, Ashok Khajuria, Shankar Sethi, and Harnam Chand Bhagat were also present on the occasion.
