STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The Bi-annual congregation of Bral Brahmin Biradari was held at the Devasthan Basawa. The function started with Hawan Pujan followed by Bhandara, which was attended by a number of devotees to seek blessings of Kul-Devta. A number of devotees also paid obeisance at the shrine of Kuldati. Former Minister and BJP leader, Sham Lal Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion. While addressing devotees, Sham Lal Sharma said that any problem being faced by a member of the community should be treated as problem of entire community and everyone should come out to help the person in need. “If we all stand united, we can and we will solve every problem very easily,” he added. On the occasion, Sham Sharma presented mementos to meritorious students of the community, who excelled in 10th and 12th board examinations. He exhorted upon the students to work hard besides taking every necessary measure to keep the Dogri culture alive. He asked students to use Dogri language to communicate in their homes. Mahant Rohit Shastri, President Bral Biradari, Mangal Bral and Pt Kewal Shastri were also present on the occasion.
