STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee has decided to boycott the opening ceremony of Darbar Move in Srinagar if their demands are not met. The meeting was presided over by Chairman, Coordination Committee and attended by all representatives of J&K Lower Grade Union, E&S (NG) Employees Association, J&K Legislative Employees Union. All pending issues concerning the welfare of the employees and the present scenario arisen out of the recent Court directions were discussed. It was observed that the government has shown cold response by not fulfilling their own commitments made from time-to-time even after having number of meetings held under chairmanship of Chief Secretary, J&K. The Coordination Committee reiterated its demand and pleaded the government to fulfil its commitment by resolving the long pending demands including allocation of slots to be notified and promotion from feeder services thereof; inclusion of members of the J&K, Secretariat (Gazetted) Service -1 & II as members of the J&K, Civil Secretariat Employees Association and extension of the term / tenure of the Union from 2 to 5 years; revocation of SRO-202 of 2015; cadre review and clarity about the future roadmap for the E&S cadre (PD&MD); concurrence regarding cadre review report of Legal Services by the Finance Department; promotion of Class-IV Orderly(s) of the Civil Secretariat; enhancement of TA/ TMA and medical allowances; pay anomaly of J&K Legislative Employees and settlement of all pending issues in Estates Department. The Coordination Committee has unanimously decided that in case aforementioned issues are not settled at the earliest, the government machinery on the opening of the offices at Srinagar will be welcomed by the employees by wearing black armbands as mark of resentment also boycott the opening ceremony of Darbar Move in Srinagar. Parvaiz Ahmad Khan, President J&K E&S (NG) Employees; Thannaji Bhatm Chief Coordinator of Association, Mukhtiyar Ahmad, President J&K Legislative Assembly and Maqbool Hussain Vice Chairman Coordination Committee were also present in the meeting.
