NEW DELHI: CISF Academy NISA, Hyderabad, signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad at a function held at CISF Headquarters here on Wednesday.
The MoU was signed by Prof Faizan Mustafa, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law and Jagbir Singh, Inspector General, CISF (Training Sector & Director NISA), in presence of O.P Singh, Director General CISF.
It has been the brain-child of DG, CISF which was materialised today.
MHA had earlier accorded approval to enter into the MoU with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad for awarding PG Diplomas to the Officers and Sub Officers who complete their basic training at CISF NISA, Hyderabad.
The officers can enroll themselves for Advanced PG Diploma in Industrial Security, Law and Management for Assistant Commandants and PG Diploma in Industrial Security, Law and Management for Sub Inspectors/Executives.
During deliberations with CISF officers, DG/CISF decided to enter into an MoU with a university of repute and distinction for standardizing the training at NISA and getting it recognised in the lines of National Police Academy, Hyderabad and Osmania University, wherein IPS Probationers are awarded Master’s Degree in Police Management by Osmania University on successful completion of two years training.
While addressing the gathering, Prof Mustafa expressed his happiness on entering an MoU with CISF and said that this would go on a long way.
O.P Singh expressed gratitude to Prof Mustafa for accepting the proposal of CISF for awarding PG Diploma to CISF trainee officers on completion of their basic training.
