SRINAGAR: Khurshid A. Ganai, State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), called on Governor N.N. Vohra here on Wednesday.
Ganai apprised the Governor about the present state of functioning of the Commission and the work which he has been able to dispose of without the assistance of two Commissioners who are still to be appointed.
Governor discussed with Ganai possible measures which could be pursued to introduce visible transparency in the functioning of the administrative system.
Meanwhile, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation (JKPF) met the Governor. Bhat apprised the Governor about the activities being carried out by the J and K Peace Foundation for bringing sustained peace and peaceful co-existence in the State.
Governor appreciated JKPF’s endeavours and urged Bhat to vigorously continue his efforts.
