LEH: The Chief Vigilance Commissioner of India, KV Chowdary while on his visit to Leh also visited Nimoo Bazgo Power Station, which is one of the units of NHPC Ltd (A Government of India Undertaking) with installed capacity of 45 MW and is one of the highest located power stations in the world.
During his visit, Chowdary participated in the Swacchta Pakhwada 2018 which is being celebrated in the Power Station from May 16 to 31. He also led a plantation drive in the power station. The CVC also went around the dam and power house and was thoroughly briefed by S. Adhikari, the Head of the Power Station about each and every component and the process of hydropower generation. The CVC appreciated the working of the power station and working spirit of officers of NHPC Ltd. under such extremely adverse climatic conditions.
