STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: Bahart Vikas Parishad Kathua organised District Level Inter-School National Group Song Competition-2019 in the premises of Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Kathua. Police Training School Kathua, SSP Arun Gupta was the Chief Guest while the function was presided over by Sushil Sharma, National Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad (North). The programme started with lighting the traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. The function was attended by a large number of members of civil society, representatives of various NGOs and social organisations. A total number of seven already screened teams participated in the competition held in Hindi and Sanskrit Languages. The team of Learning Temple High School was adjudged as first while teams from Spring Dales Senior Secondary School and Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School Kathua secured second and third positions respectively. Rakesh Sambyal, Kapil Thapa and T.R Sumbria were the jury members for the competition. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest emphasised upon holding of such competitions so as to develop and inculcate national felling and understanding among the youth. Sushil Sharma elaborated upon the role and activities of BVP. Gandharb Singh Katal, President gave the welcome address. Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, Chief Patron gave a brief history-cum-aims and objectives of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Ashok Gupta presented the vote of thanks.
