JAMMU, Oct 5: Diwan Badri Nath (DBN) school clinched the first position in Inter-School National Group Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Talab Tillo branch, at JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School, Tallab Tillo, here on Saturday.
Arun Sharma (Regional Secretary BVP) was the Chief Guest, Prof Amita Sharma (State President BVP) and Vijay Sharma were the Guests of Honour on the occasion.
During the contest, students of DBN School secured first position, JK Montessorie Senior Secondary bagged second and SNS Vidya Mandir clinched third position.
Archana Sharma, Programmer Computer Science Department University of Jammu and Retired Judge Pavitar Singh were the jury members.
Earlier, Secretary of the Branch, Jagdish Sharma welcomed the guests and briefed about the functioning of Bharat Vikas Parishad.
The Chief Guest in his address motivated the students to take nation to new heights in the field of art ,culture, education and technology and explained the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad in inculcating the national spirit among the youth.
Director Academics, JK Montessorie British School, Rajni Gupta appreciated the efforts of the students. Trophies were distributed by the Chief Guest and executive members of the branch among the winners.
Other members present were Alok Sharma, Vandana Gupta, Savita Gupta and Rajeev Bhardwaj. Vote of thanks was presented by O.P Sharma.
