JAMMU: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Monday held its executive body meeting here at Satwari. Tarsem Khullar President Bahujan Samaj Party J and K presided over the meeting.
Choudhary Gurnam Singh Coordinator was the Chief Guest.
A detailed discussion was held for the future activities of the party. It was the first meeting held after National President of the party, Mayawati had dissolved all the committees in the State after the Assembly polls. She nominated Tarsem Khullar as BSP State President and directed him to take over the charge of BSP in the state.
Khullar after his nomination as President under took detailed tour of Jammu region and had consultation with prominent persons of Bahujan Samaj Party. He also started membership drive to strengthen the party at grass-root level.
The meeting unanimously resolved to constitute fresh committees at different levels accelerate party matters and activities. Consequently, a committee for Parliamentary Constituency Kathua-Udhampur was framed and announced with the approval of BSP National General Secretary Narinder Kashyap.
Kathua-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency Committee comprised of Babu Ram, Puran Chand, Prof. Sukham Chand, Advocate Mohinder Attri, Jodh Ram, Des Raj, Thakur Chunni Lal, Karan Singh, K.S Jasrotia, Romesh Gupta, Mohammad Ali Sohil and Naresh Kumar.
Som Nath Dogra, Rattan Lal Chargotra, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, Charan Dass,K.L Attri, Jagdish Verma, Raja Singh and Charanjit Bitta attended the meeting.
