JAMMU: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) and Anganwari Workers Welfare Association (AWWA) will observe Black Day on February 20 against Central and State Governments Budgets for 2018 -2019.
“We will hold demonstration on February 20 and observe as Black Day at Jammu, Udhampur, Billawar, Kathua and Samba and bear black day as protest against both the Central and State Government Budgets as it has disappointed the workers in the country as well as in the State,” said General Secretary BMS Ashok Choudhary and President AWWA, Swarna Choudhary in a joint press conference here on Friday.
“Both the governments have ignored the workers scheme meant for Anganwari, Asha, Midday meal, National Health Mission, MGNREGA employees and others working class employees,” they said called upon working class to participate in large number in the nationwide agitation programme in support of their long pending demands.
They appeal to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to consider the genuine demands of low paid workers immediately failing which strong action will follow.
