STATE TIMES NEWS BILLAWAR: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Distt. Billawar- Bani- Basholi President Jaswinder Singh started the membership drive in Mahanpur Mandal of Billawar in presence of BJP State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, BJYM State President Vikas Choudhary, Mandal President BJP Mahanpur Sham Singh, BJYM State Vice President Keshav Khajuria, Many Sarpanchs and Panchs also joined BJP during the program. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul thanked the people for voting in favour of BJP in recently concluded elections and ensured everyone that BJP is working round the clock for ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas aur Sabka Vishwas’. He further said the motive of the membership drive is to strengthen the party base, connect with general public and bring every section of the society into the party fold. Our party has got the highest number of votes in J&K in recently held Lok Sabha elections, so there is a need to connect with gross roots level people to get the same lead in each constituency in the future and to convert the voters into the workers as people are already motivated towards BJP. Vikas Choudhary said that more than 16 lakh people voted for BJP in recently held Lok Sabha elections in the state, which is 46 percent of voter share and was highest by any party in Jammu and Kashmir. Jaswinder Singh addressed the party workers about membership drive programme.
