BILLAWAR: Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, senior Congress leader and Ex Minister on Thursday met Anganwari workers, who are sitting on strike outside Tehsil Office Billawar for the last many days.
Dr.Sharma said that he fully supports the genuine demands of Anganwari workers/helpers and assured that the demands and the concerns will be raised by him at all levels, political platforms, until the demands are met by the government.
Dr. Sharma said that Anganwari sisters are hard working and are the back bone of various Govt. schemes of Social Welfare, Health Department etc. The current scenario of their salaries is very unjustified as they are being provided with meager salaries that are very minimal to cope with the inflation, the country is facing under BJP Govt.
Dr.Sharma said that the BJP Govt. on one hand is propagating its slogan of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, while on the other hand it is very painful that daughters and sisters are forced to sit on agitation to achieve their genuine demands and have to sit under scorching sun in this summer temp of 45 degrees.
