STATE TIMES NEWSHIRANAGAR: BJP State Mahila Morcha led by National Vice President and Prabhari Mahila Morcha Rashim Sood and its State President Rajni Sethi tied ‘Raksha Sutra’ to “Jawans” at village Ghagwal’s “Chak Dulma” International Border and Police Station in Hiranagar Constituency on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Wednesday wherein State Spokesperson & Prabhari Mahila Morcha Priya Sethi and OBC Morcha President Rash Pal Verma were also present on the occasion to boost the morale of the brave Indian soldiers. Rashim Sood while tying Rakhis, said that this is infact an honour and hour of pride for BJP Mahila Morcha team to celebrate the festival among the brothers deployed at the border. Highlighting the significance of Raksha Bandhan’s significance Rashim Sood said that the old tradition of tying Raksha Sutra in the Hindu Culture dates back to the centuries unaccounted and with the passage of time it has gone out of the family bounds and inspired the women folk to tie rakhis to the people who are serving the nation as also protecting their countrymen. Rajni Sethi said that the festival reaffirms the strong bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters. She said that the brave Jawans are always ready to lay down their lives for our safety so we also take it as our prime duty to contribute in any possible situation for the forces of our country. All the members of Mahila Morcha state team tied “Rakhis” to the BSF Jawans and prayed for their long and prosperous life. The jawans in turn, also promised to protect their sisters. They urged the citizens to dedicate themselves for the nation and also called upon the society to uphold the dignity and respect of women in our country. Mahila Morcha members prayed that may Raksha Bandhan symbolizing the virtue of love, affection and mutual trust bring happiness and prosperity to all the people of our country. Priya Sethi conveyed her wishes to the army jawans and policemen and said that they should not have a feeling of being away from their homes and families on this auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan .While applauding the role of policemen and security forces, she said that the people sleep at night while these men awake and act as guards, which is highly appreciable task. Prominent among those were present include Senior leader Suresh Jamwal, Ex-MLA Durga Dass, State Vice-Presidents Kamla Gupta, Kunti Jasrotia, Anu Gupta, Anju Dogra, State General Secretaries Updesh Andotra, Shailja Gupta, State Secretaries Monika Sharma, Geetanjali Mahajan, Neena Gupta, Sunita Gupta, Neha Mahajan, Parveen Arora, State Media Secretary Prerna Nanda, District President Kathua Indu Rekha, District President Samba Parveen and Capt. Subash Chander were also present with their team members.
