STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday held a review meeting in connection with ongoing ‘Membership Drive’ at Jammu, which was presided over by Ashok Kaul, General Secretary (Org) while briefing about the drive was given by Jugal Dogra, Convener, State-level Membership Abhiyan. During the meeting, a number of sub-committees were constituted for Jammu province to finalise active party members in each district. The sub-committees, constituted on the occasion, include Jammu Rural: Suraj Singh (Convener), Nand Kishore and Pawan Slathia; Jammu West: Pawan Sharma (Convener), Sanjay Baru, Prabhat Singh; Jammu East: Virenderjeet Singh (Convener), Anil Masoom, Reena Slathia; Rajouri: Rajinder Gupta (Convener), Kamal Gupta, Rakesh Raina; Udhampur: Vikas Choudhary (Convener), Som Raj Khajuria, Adv Amit; Doda: Akshay Sharma (Convener), Chater Singh, Ashwani Kumar; Kathua: Adv Vijay Kumar (Convener), Chater Singh, Ashwani Kumar; Reasi: Shashi Gupta (Convener), Raman Sharma (Arnas), Surinder Sharma; Samba: Premnath Dogra (Convener), Avtar Singh, Jai Sharma; R S Pura: Jangveer Singh (Convener), Huti Shama, Bisan Choudhary; Ramban: Shashi Goswami (Convener), Sham Singh Katoch, Suraj Singh Parihar; Kishtwar: Manjeet Razdan (Convener), Chuni Lal, Gulab Chand Bhagat; Billawar: Dr Narinder Singh (Convener), Jagdev Singh, Ravinder Baloria; Akhnoor: Puran Chand (Convener), Gasita Singh, Pawan Gupta; Nowshera: Manmohan Singh (Convener), Mohan Lal Parshar; Poonch: Rakesh Mahajan (Convener), Naresh Kumar Sharma, Abdul Hamid and Kashmir Displaced: Praduman Singh (Convener), T N Bhat, Sanjay Bhat. The party office bearers, nominated for verifying membership register of each Mandals / district include Jaideep Sharma for Jammu West; Praduman Singh for Jammu; Jagdish Bhagat for Jammu Rural; Rajinder Singh for Akhnoor; Suresh Sharma for Nowshera; Sunil Gupta for Rajouri; Dinesh Sharma for Poonch; Aseem Gupta for R S Pura; Brijeshwar Rana for Samba; Dr Suresh Ajay Magotra for Kathua; Jugal Kishore Gupta for Basohli; Rashpal Verma for Reasi; Arun Gupta for Udhampur; Ramesh Kumar for Doda; Rajinder Singh for Ramban; Vipan Sharma for Kishtwar and Prem Gupta for Kashmir Displaced District. Since, these sub-committees were supposed to be constituted before July 31, 2019, the State leadership has taken a pro-active role and declared the Committees with an intention that the membership drive and its follow up will be pursued vigorously and in time. Ashok Kaul advised all activists to contact locals, especially youth and womenfolk, for giving a conventional shape to the ongoing drive.
