STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, who is also Executive Chairman of Legal Aid Committee and Senior Executive Member of the Supreme Court Bar Association has demanded release of all detenues in J&K, who have been detained under Public Safety Act, as PSA is no more a valid law in J&K. Bhim Singh said that Article 35A has been abrogated and withdrawn by the President of India and all fundamental rights as per the Constitution have returned to Indian citizens in J&K. NPP Supremo further said that all those Indian citizens (Residents of Jammu & Kashmir) who were detained under PSA, cannot be detained under PSA any longer since Fundamental Rights available in Constitution of India in Chapter- III are available to every permanent resident of Jammu & Kashmir. It is applicable to all those who have been detained under PSA whether Indian citizens or foreigners, he said, adding that writ petitions filed against detentions of J&K residents or foreigners will be heard on August 27 by the Supreme Court of India.
