STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: College of Nursing, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri observed lamp lighting and oath taking Ceremony. Prof. Javed Musarrat, Vice chancellor of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badhsah University was the chief guest on the occasion. A total of 40 novice nurses received the light from the chief guest, Prof. Javed Musarrat along with Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Iqbal Parwez and Registrar, Dr. Ashafq Ahmed zarri. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Javed Musarrat said that the Nursing is a noble and challenging profession, it plays an important role in providing care to humanity. Prof. Musarrat said that Nursing is a very important part of the medical facilities offered anywhere in the country and world. Along with medical care, patients also need the empathy and warmth of nursing. The profession is the backbone of the medical care system. Lots of new developments are taking place in the nursing profession and new entrants need to ensure that they keep themselves updated with adequate skills and specialization. Prof. Javed Musarrat congratulated all the new students on joining BGSB College of Nursing. his remarks, Prof. Iqbal Parwez said that the bright flame today has come to symbolize knowledge, enlightenment, experience and hope. He said that lighting a lamp is not just lighting up a flame but instead it is lighting up a ray of hope and love. He advised the students to work hard to become a nurse with good knowledge, Good skills and perfect attitude to serve the community. Dr. Zarri congratulated the student nurses for being into the noble profession, also added in her valuable message that the nurses should not miss any opportunities for better learning in caring. Vice Chancellor distributed prizes among the students who participated in various activities of the college. Dr.Titi, Principal of the college presented the welcome address. Vijayasree , faculty of the college proposed vote of thanks.
