JAMMU: J and K High Court Bar Association, Jammu bade farewell to Justice B.S Walia, who has been transferred to Punjab and Haryana High Court.
In this connection, a farewell function was organised by Bar Association, Jammu, which was started with the presentation of bouquets to Justice Walia by B.S Slathia President, Sachin Gupta Vice President, Prem Sadotra General Secretary, Himanshu Sharma Joint Secretary, Chetan Misri Treasurer, D.S Saini, A.K Sawhney, D.R Khajuria, Roop Lal, Usman Salaria and Suraj Singh Advocates.
A painting was also presented as a token of love and respect to Justice Walia by Jagdish Gupta, Advocate.
While addressing the gathering, President Bar Association, Jammu, B.S Slathia said that Justice Walia always treated all the lawyers equally and did not believe in the face law, which quality of him was admired by all the members of the Association.
Slathia on behalf of all the members of the Bar wished him all the very best for his future judicial career and a healthy life.
Justice Walia, in his address, shared his experience and thoughts with the members of Bar and lauded the cooperation of the members of the J and K High Court Bar Association, Jammu to the Bench during his tenure as a Judge of the High Court of J and K.
Sachin Gupta, Vice President presented vote of thanks.
Proceedings of the function were conducted by Prem Sadotra, General Secretary of the Association.
