STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Former Minister, Bali Bhagat on Monday visited Raipur Domana constituency and started the Macadamization work of 3.5 km long Ganeshu Chak Road with an estimated cost of Rs 1.73 crore. Bali Bhagat said Ganeshu Chak road was the major demand of inhabitants which provide rural connectivity to the villages of Raipur Domana constituency. People were overwhelmed and distributed sweets among the people. Bali Bhagat said during last four years, he worked hard for the upliftment of various Panchayats in Raipur-Domana constituency. He said a 100 bedded Model Hospital and a Government Degree College is established at Bhalwal and Mishriwala respectively during the last 4 years. He further added that road connectivity of Raipur-Domana constituency was in shambles prior to 2014 and after assuming the charge in BJP-PDP led coalition Government, he said, macadamization in Raipur-Domana has crossed 350 kms so far as construction of various roads and other projects were taken up which included widening of Amb-Gharota road, Gharota-Doomi road, Marjali-Kangrail road, Chack-Bhalwal road, Baran road and Purkhoo-Kanger Morh road. Highlighting other achievements, Bhagat said more than 448 transformers were installed in various Panchayats and Municipal Wards of Raipur-Domana constituency during the last four years to cope with problem of low voltage. He further said two vital bridges of Raipur-Domana constituency viz Nikki Tawi Bridge and Kanger Bridge have been constructed while construction work of Simblibala as well as Mishriwala bridge are going on at Ranbir canal while Paloura-BSF Gate Bridge has also been completed. Prominent among those who were present there were Sarpanch Iccha Devi, Senior Leader BJP Babbu Charak,Ved Prakash, Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal and Girdhari Lal.
