SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited released the loan subsidy in favour of unemployed male and female beneficiaries of Backward Classes hailing from different areas of Srinagar District.
In a programme held at Camp Office, Srinagar, Vice-Chairperson of the Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan handed over the cheques of the subsidy to the beneficiaries, whose cases have been sanctioned under bank tie-up scheme. A total of eight cheques of the subsidy were handed over to the beneficiaries falling under backward class category for setting up income generating units, mostly related to crewl embroidery, shawl embroidery and art work.
Balbir, on this occasion, stressed upon the beneficiaries to make proper use of the loan availed from the corporation/financial institutions adding that everyone would have to work hard to make their ventures successful in this era of competition.
