STATE TIMES NEWS LEH: Deputy Commissioner Leh Avny Lavasa on Tuesday convened a meeting with all the district officers to apprise them about the State Government’s ‘Back to Village’ programme. The meeting was also attended by the BDOs and other concerned officials. Addressing the meeting, DC said that all the gazetted officers will be deployed in the 95 Panchayat halqas of the district as visiting officers who shall seek feedback based on their observation, interaction and other activities as per the provided general guidelines of their concerned Gram Panchayat. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary held separate meetings and interactive sessions with the District Officers and PRI members including Sarpanchs, Panchs and Nambardars to review the preparations for ensuing ‘Back to Village’ programme. The DC exhorted upon the PRI members to come up with innovative, sustainable and inclusive plans in Gram Sabhas which shall be conducted during the ‘Back to Village’ initiative.
