STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha and General Secretary AICC, Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed grief on killing of a youth in Bhadarwah. “Those responsible for this gruesome murder must be booked immediately and punished as per law of the land,” Azad said in a statement issued here on Thursday. “At the same time, I urge everyone to maintain peace, mutual trust and tranquility. Some miscreants are trying to spoil the peaceful atmosphere and communal harmony of the town in particular and district in general. It is the responsibility of everyone to ensure peace besides maintaining communal harmony at every cost,” said Azad. Earlier, Azad spoke to the Deputy Commissioner of the district and asked for initiating magisterial inquiry in the matter. Reacting to the killing of youth in Bhadarwah, JKPCC President G.A Mir, while strongly condemning the incident, emphasized the Governor’s Administration should ascertain the identity of the killers for severe punishment. He said anti-peace elements always want to create vitiate atmosphere of communal harmony and brotherhood, it is the duty of every citizen of the State to defeat their designs and ensure that the rich culture of harmony and unity is not harmed.
