JAMMU: An awareness programme regarding health, hygiene and cleanliness was jointly conducted by Centre for Women’s Studies and NCC (SW) of GGM Science College here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Principal GGM Science College, Dr Satinder Singh was the Chief Guest.
Cadet Shivali Sharma briefed the audience about the importance of NCC for the career development of women. Senior Under Officer, Kajal Sharma enlightened the gathering about career for women in defence services.
Dr Renu Vakil Kaul explained in detail about health issues in summer season. Prof. Poonam Angotra talked about nutrition and the importance of taking balanced diet.
Associate NCC Officer (SW), Lt Anjana Sharma presented a presentation about role of NCC for women upliftment.
Dr Sandhya, Director Women Studies Centre spoke about the importance of clean environment viz. air, water, soil and discussed in-situ techniques of waste disposal.
Rekha Sharma, Assistant Women Studies Centre conducted the proceedings of the programme.
