State Times News AKHNOOR: Continuing efforts to reach out to the common masses under the aegis of Sewa Saptah and to celebrate and dedicate the birthday of PM Modi, Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas on Wednesday visited Nariana area of Khour Block, Akhnoor wherein a programme was convened at High School Naraina based on theme ‘avoiding single use of plastic products and water conservation’. During the programme, students as well as locals from the area addressed the public on the desired theme and expressed their worries for such a huge usage of plastic and polythene by the people on daily basis which in turn is polluting the whole atmosphere. Speaking on the occasion MP Manahas urged upon the people of area to avoid usage of polythene and at minimum or no usage of plastic as in rural area where agriculture is prime work for the people plastic and polythene could be disastrous in the upcoming days. Manhas stressed upon for being united and hopeful as after the abrogation of Article 370 Jammu and Kashmir is going to witness new era of all round development that too in a corruption free environment. Present Government has been keen to serve the people of Jammu Kashmir while reaching out to the last person in que without any discrimination and disparity.
