SRINAGAR: Arun Kumar Choudhary assumed charge as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed Jammu & Kashmir here on Friday.
A.K Choudhary is a 1991 batch IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre. Choudhary ADGP/ Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation has been transferred and posted as ADGP Armed J&K, vide J&K Government order No.1482-Home of 2017 dated October 12, 2017.
Choudhary succeeds Lalatendu Mohanti, whose services have been placed at the disposal of Government of India on deputation basis.
Immediately after assuming the charge of ADGP Armed, Choudhary conducted meeting of officers and officials of APHQ.
He impressed upon them to continue their respective assignments with the same zeal and zest as they had been doing in the past. He advised the staff posted at APHQ to ensure speedy disposal of official matters preferably pertaining to welfare issues of subordinates working at grass route level.
