JAMMU: The J and K High Court Bar Association Jammu condemned the abduction and attack on Advocate Paramjeet Khera threatening that if the persons involved in the case were not arrested till 10:00 AM on Wednesday, the association will launch a mass agitation.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, President JKHCBA, Advocate Abhinav Sharma said that on Monday evening about 18 miscreants attacked Paramjeet near Shakti Nagar and beaten him mercilessly resulting into severe injuries.
“On the intervention of J and K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, an FIR was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, and only two accused have been arrested and the remaining persons were absconding causing serious threat to the security of the victim lawyer,” Sharma said.
President JKHCBA said that this incident has exposed the tall claims of the police authorities concerning the security of advocates both in the Court premises as well as outside.
Sharma said that such attacks will not be tolerated and J and K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, warned that if rest of the persons involved in the incident were not arrested, the association will resort to mass agitation.
